Energy customers want convenience, choice and control

Today’s energy customer wants a variety of things including choice, control and convenience, panelists said at a recent conference that examined California’s distributed energy future.

Customers “want choice and control, more than anything else,” said Farid Dibachi, CEO of JLM Energy, during a panel discussion at the March 16 conference. The panel focused on designing distributed energy resource solutions that customers want.

“Every single one of us gets a utility bill,” said Dibachi. “Every business that we work at receives a utility bill.”

Dibachi said that he is “awed by the fact that when I get that bill I have to pay it. There’s no argument, there’s no debate and I would, for one, like to see if I can exercise some control over how much I pay, to whom I pay.”
