Cal Valley Solar and Yaswant Singh Bring Reliable Renewable Power to Fiji

SUVA, FIJI, March 29, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ — A Fiji native and full time resident, Mr. Yaswant Singh has been instrumental in bringing solar to the Namosi Community Post, improving community service and safety. Mr. Singh was surprised to learn that the Namosi Post was closed at night due to lack of power for lights and operation. He volunteered to do the groundwork, with help from Cal Valley Solar, where he worked previously while living in California. He provided the battery storage and solar panels for the post to have power 24 hours a day. “Now that we have the solar panels installed, we can utilize all the electrical equipment which can be powered by solar.” says Police Constable Benidito Karekare.

The effort to bring electricity to the Namosi Community Post is just the beginning of services Mr. Singh sees ahead for Fiji. Mr. Singh returned to Fiji after living many years in the United States because he felt he could do more for his native land. “There are many ways renewable energy can improve life in Fiji. I look forward to bringing renewable energy to my homeland with new technology from the U.S.A.” states Mr. Singh.

For instance, Mr. Singh knows that virtually all-solar installations are set up in such a way that they will not deliver power when the utility grid is down. At Cal Valley Solar in California, Mr. Singh worked with JLM Energy and their new energy storage system, Energizr. During an outage, Energizr delivers stored power to the household and at the same time allows the PV solar system to re-supply the batteries. “For Fijians, this means you can now use the grid for primary power or as a back-up. Fiji has many opportunities for abundant solar energy. With Energizr, Fijians can now have the energy they produce right at their home or town site.” notes Yaswant Singh.

“Energizr makes it possible to keep the lights on even when the sun is not shining. Energizr’s battery storage combined with solar energy can help remote locations get power without a grid and provide back-up power to people living in town. Energizr is designed and manufactured in California, USA.”–Yaswant Singh, Cal Valley Solar, Fiji Sales

Energizr is a new energy technology product from the United States that can change where and when Fijians have energy. This means school children can study at night with stored solar energy collected during the day. Police, even in remote locations, can now provide vital services because stored electricity keeps their posts light and active. “Energizr and other micro grid solutions can bring much good to Fijians. I look forward to bringing renewable energy technology to Fiji and helping my homeland. It is good to be back.” says Mr. Singh.

Energizr provides:
• Energy back-up system
• Renewable energy storage

New Enterprise EV Charging Station Whitepaper from JLM Energy

ROCKLIN, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–JLM Energy, Inc. is providing a free whitepaper that discusses Enterprise EV Charging stations and ways to mitigate negative impacts from increased energy demand.

Environmentally responsible companies provide their employees the opportunity to charge their electric vehicles while at work. Clearly, this is a significant step for an employer to show their commitment to their employees and to the environment.

Adding a 100-car EV charging system to a typical commercial building with a 1,000 occupants could increase the facility’s power bill by as much as 60%. This increase is partially due to higher energy usage. However, it is the increase in demand charges that is the main driver of the increase in costs.

In the Enterprise EV Charging Station Whitepaper, the engineers at JLM discuss how using renewable energy in conjunction with advanced energy storage technology provides an intelligent, cost effective and environmentally-friendly solution for this growing industry.

JLM engineers have successfully used JLM’s cloud-based software platform, Measurz Energy Storage Toolkit (EST), to design systems that combine the energy production capabilities of PV solar with the demand reduction capabilities of advanced energy storage (AES) systems to neutralize the cost impact of Enterprise EV Charging.

Maui Solar Project Offers ‘Energy Appliance’ to Help Hawaiians Save on Utilities

KAHULUI, Hawaii–(BUSINESS WIRE)–JLM Energy, Inc. and Maui Solar Project are changing the way renewable energy is collected, stored and used for storage and peak power reduction. Energizr is the only fully integrated residential solution in the market today capable of bringing together renewable energy, the grid and energy storage on a single platform. It even incorporates seamless integration with a generator. This means that the renewable energy from solar photovoltaic panels or wind turbines is now available on site during a power outage. Energizr is an intelligent system designed to provide constant energy access.

Virtually all solar installations are set up in such a way that they will not deliver power when the utility grid is down. During an outage, Energizr delivers stored power to the household and at the same time allows the PV solar system to re-supply the batteries. For Hawaiians, this means you can now net meter and use the grid as back up. Hawaii is one of the leading states for PV installation. Hawaiians stand to gain significantly from accessing their renewable energy directly on-site.

“There are 51,000 solar systems in Hawaii and 99% will shut down in the event of grid failure. Energizr is the only technology that allows homeowners to have complete energy security. Maui Solar Project has been working in concert with JLM’s technology for over a year. We understand this technology and how it applies to our environment. We are deploying these systems today.”
Josh Porter, President Maui Solar Project

JLM Energy’s Energizr brings together three major components of an energy system in a single package: the power utility grid, renewable energy sources (Wind and PV) and energy storage. In situations where the grid is available, the renewable resources are used to charge the system batteries and then the excess renewable energy is used for net metering. When the grid is unavailable, Energizr uses the energy stored in the batteries to power home electrical loads and at the same time ensures that PV or wind power recharges the batteries.

Energizr is a game-changing energy technology product with sophisticated software to help homeowners and small businesses realize the dream of energy independence.

Energizr provides:

• Energy back-up system

• Renewable energy storage

• Sophisticated battery management

Energy Storage Toolkit from JLM Energy

ROCKLIN, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–JLM Energy, Inc. announces the March 2015 release of Measurz™ Energy Storage Toolkit (EST). Measurz™ EST is a versatile energy modeling and monitoring system. It provides users with an environment to create and study cost savings opportunities using energy storage and renewable energy technologies.

“We have been constantly surprised by the void in energy modeling software, particularly in relation to demand shaving and energy storage. The ability to provide accurate cost analyses for this technology in a way that energy managers, financial officers, and business owners alike can understand is a critical part of the adoption process. Measurz EST was designed around this exact need.”—Roman Couvrette, Applications Engineer, JLM Energy

Measurz™ EST is a key resource for monitoring or managing energy usage. “I find Measurz EST to be invaluable as a tool covering all my needs from system design to live presentations. Using Measurz EST allows me to zero in on a desirable system size based on actual electricity usage data. During a presentation, I can clearly illustrate, with hard data, the combined impact of energy storage and PV solar on the electricity bills. I have never been able to do this before. From there it is easy to explain the value to the business.” — Janet Ferrari, Owner, Power On Renewable Energy

Once an actual system is deployed, Measurz™ EST is a dashboard for energy management across multiple buildings located around the world. Real-time reporting on the actual system empowers businesses to clearly demonstrate measurable energy management returns in real-time.

Try Measurz with no obligation for 7 days and then cancel or purchase. Learn more by contacting offers@JLMEI.com. Terms and conditions may change without notice. Retail value for a full version of Measurz™ with an annual license is $4,995 or $499 per month.
